I've had lots of requests for directions for the
first wallet I made last week, so I sat down and made another one and took lots of pictures! It's very easy and should take less than an hour!

First you will need a piece of card stock 8" X 81/2". Score it at 3 1/2" and 41/2" on the 8" side as seen above. (Ignore that random score line on the right , that was an oops! It will be covered up with DSP soon!)

Fold your lines to make the wallet. On the inside cover, you will need a piece of DSP, or pattern paper, cut at 3 1/4" X 8 1/4". The whisper white paper is 2 3/4" X 7". I used the spiral edge punch on the left side. I also distressed mine with Pear Pizzaz and a sponge.

I stamped the teapot from Morning Coffe stamp set and colored it using Pear Pizzaz. I punched it with the large 1 3/4 circle punch. I punched two tabs from the Round Tab Punch and criscrossed them to make a circle. this is the back ground circle for the tea pot. Its a perfect fit!

Next, you will need your Big Shot and Scallop Envelope Die.

Cut out 3 of the envelope from cardstock.

As you can see, the envelope is just shy of fitting a gift card. So, I just created two new fold lines!

I placed the gift card on the envelope and using my bone folder, folded the sides over the gift card, creating new fold lines. Its sunch a minor difference that it really doesn't change the envelope much.

As you can see on the back, it doesn't quite cover up the back flap as well, but on a project like this, it doesn't matter. That side will be adhered to the folder and you won't be able to see it.

I cut two scallops from DSP, only placing the paper over the part of the die I needed. I also cut out a rectangle of DSP to 3 1/4" X 2. This will go over the bottom part of the slightly bigger envelope. You can really decorate them as you like but I like to cover up the one I created the new fold lines on because you can see the old fold lines.

Place lots of sticky strips on the back of your envelopes. You can see the difference in my gift card envelope, on the left, and the two on the right that will hold the tea bags. The scallop part is folded forward rather than back over this side as you would if you were putting a card inside.

I used these fabulous new antique designer brads to finish off the pocket. I put sticky strip under the scallop so they would lay flat.

For the cover, I cut half of a Top Note using my Big Shot. I then created a slot with my slot punch. It needs to be at least 1 1/2", so I slid the punch over and punched it three times.

I also distressed using Pear Pizzaz ink and a sponge.

Cut another piece of DSP 3 1/4" X 8 1/4". Using Stampin Dimensionals, or pop dot, place the Top Note piece on the cover so that the ribbon can slide through.

And then just decorate as you want! Pretty easy huh?? Now, please send me links to the creations you make! I would love to see them! Thanks so much for all the love over this project. I love it too and can't wait to teach my club this fun little gift!
