U Stamp With Dawn and Friends- Guest Designer!

A couple of months ago, I hinted on my Facebook account that I had been asked to design for someone. Well, today I can finally show you what I made! Dawn, from U Stamp With Dawn and friends asked me to join this round as a guest designer! I was honored to say the least!

I came up with a Circle Recipe Gift Album. It is rainbow colors using my favorite Brights. It involves 4 stamp sets and features the Circle Scissors!

It also holds a gift card. I thought it would make a nice bridal shower gift!

So today is the first day at U Stamp With Dawn and Friends (this round is called Classes, Clubs and Camps), and my project is featured! So, if your interested in the directions to this project, as well as another month worth of fabulous projects, make sure you hop over to U Stamp With Dawn and Friends and join us!

SCIC #49

This week at Stampin' Celebration, the color pallet is Pink and Green. I immediately think of my first apartment in college. My room was pink and green. I hated it at first (it was already like that) but eventually loved it. This inspiration picture reminds me of that room:

I chose to make a baby card for a sweet friend who had a baby shower this week.

Stamps: Baby Steps

Ink and paper: Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Rose Red, Basic Black, Build a Bear DSP

Other: Big Shot, Nesties (non su), Rose Red Designer Ribbon (retired), Heat gun, Wild Wasabi ad Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, Designer Buttons, thread, vintage trinkets, Melon Mambo Pom Pom Trim, Tiny Tag Punch

CCMC148- Vellum!

Hi everybody! I have been having computer issues (laptop in the shop, desktop is a piece of junk). I apologize for my absence. Hopefully it will improve this week when my appendage (laptop!) returns from Best Buy!

This week at Create with Connie and Mary, the challenge is a color challenge! I adore these colors! Those big yellow flowers were made by rubbing vellum with So Saffron ink (sponge.) I punched them out with a 1 3/8" circle punch and adhered them onto the stamped image which I applied to the Newsprint DSP. Fun technique!

Stamps: Touch of Kindness
Ink and paper: Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Lovely Lilac, Newsprint DSP, Greenhouse Gala DSP, Vellum
Other: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon, Designer Buttons, thread, Crystal Effects.

Make sure you hop over to CCMC and check out what the other designers have going. And, give it a try! I would love to see what you come up with!

Scrapbook Saturday!

Happy Saturday everybody! I have a quick Scrapbook post for you today! I used this week's sketch from Sketchy Thursday!

Last weekend we took a spur of the moment trip into the hill country. My hubby let me run into the little scrapbook store in Fredricksburg while he circled the block with the kids in the car! Such pressure! LOL! But, I did manage to gather up a ton of fun goodies, this paper included!

The flowers on the cardstock background were punched with one of Stampin' Up's new triple layer punch! They are so much fun!

A little journaling block that is Baylor colors- perfect! And lots of buttons, you can never go wrong with buttons!

Thanks for stopping by today! :-) Happy Easter!

Hello Peeps!

Happy Good Friday! I hope you have the day off as well!

Today's card was inspired by the pkg of Peeps I saw at target this week. i think they are so cute but I hate to eat them! LOL! I guess that's a good thing right? So, when I saw the challenge at Off the Wall Craftiness, I zeroed in on those funny little peeps!

These little guys are sugary just like the real thing. On the pink one, I mixed a new Melon mambo Embossing Powder (that will be available May 1 in the Stampin' Up Summer Mini!)
with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder. I ran my Versa mark Ink pad all over the melon mambo card stock and then sprinkled it with the mixture. After a shot of the heat gun, it was so very sugary! The yellow one is done just with Iridescent Ice.

I punched these little sugary sweets using the following punches: 1 3/4" Circle. 1 3/8" Circle, Medium Oval, Two Step owl Punch (eyes.) The sentiment is from Something to Celebrate and the punch ed image is a sneak peek from the upcoming IBC! It is called Four frames.

My current addiction is to rip my ribbon apart. I love the frayed edges it creates! This is Daffodil Delight Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today!

On the Grow

Have you received your Stampin' Up Mini in the mail yet? It is so full of fabulous things! If your interested in receiving one, please email me! Today's card features a stamp set from the upcoming Summer Mini called On the Grow. I used the colors form the Color Lab and the sketch from the Diva Coffee Break Challenge. It's hard to see, but after lightly coloring the jar with a tad of Baja Breeze (with my Blender Pen,) I added a small bit of Crystal effects to create a wet look. It looks very cool in real life. Stamps: On The Grow Ink and Paper: Rose Red (DSP), Regal Rose, Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Basic Black, Newsprint DSP Other: Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Crystal Effects, Stampin Dimensionals, Blender Pens

New Project Planner- Simply Adorned!

We had such a fun time last night at my Simply Adorned class. Everyone made this necklace, including 12 inserts. We also made a gift box and card. Perfect for Mother's Day!

I have come up with a project planner to go with this class that includes 8 bonus insert designs! That's 20 inserts in all! Plus all the directions for the box and card.

If you would like to purchase this as a Class To go, the cost is $40. That includes shipping and a 6 page full color project planner with all the measurements and instructions.

Just want the plans? No problem- they are only $6! I will email them to you directly. If you are a stamper who just wants ideas, this is perfect. If you are a Demonstrator and want to offer the class, this too is perfect for you! So, once you decide, you can easily order using my Pay Pal buttons below!

Scrapbook Saturday!

I am so excited about my page today! I am using a new Triple Layer Punch and discovered that it creates an really cool Mexican Tissue Flag Banner!

My colors today came from Color Q. They were perfect for these funky colored pictures I've been needing to scrap for a while!

The sketch comes from Pencilines.
So I took these pictures of my hubby last summer at the Baylor Children's Museum. He is beyond mortified that I am posting them on the web for all to see! But, it was so funny that he was playing dress up with the girls in their multicultural room! I had to scrap them!
So, as you can see, I used these new Doily shapes that come from a new punch form Stampin' Up (available May 1!) I was going for this look:

We see these around here a lot, especially during Fiesta! So, when I laid the punches down I immediately saw these Mexican Banners!

I also used an On Board Chipboard Heart, embossed it with Dots and Clear Embossing Powder.
{Title is Non SU}

Stamps: Dots, Dots, Dots

Ink and Paper: Cherry Cobbler, retired DSP

Other: Doily Triple Layer Punch, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, On Board Chipboard, Eyelet Border Punch, White Twine, Pom Pom Trim

Hope you like it as much as I do!!

New Inspiration

Stampin' Up has a new Mini Catalog that goes live May 1. A benefit of being a Demonstrator is that I get to order from it a whole month early! And ever since I got my box, I can't stop playing! The colors are so bright and vibrant in the new catalog! Today's card was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and the Color Throwdown!
Everything you see here is from the new Summer Mini!
Stamps: Touch of Kindness

Ink and Paper: Beyond the garden DSP, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Playful Polka Dots Simply Scrapin' Kit, Whisper White

Other: Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Tempting Turquoise Grossgrain Ribbon (which I received in my Grab Bag!!), Blender Pen

Just wait till you see the catalog! It screams summer and sun. I LOVE it! Thanks for stopping by!

SCIC48- Easter Train

It feels like Easter will never get here this year! It is so late! It seems like I have been making Easter things for months! Ha! Anyhow, I have another fun Easter treat for ya today! Stampin' Celebration has a sweet Easter inspiration picture and so I searched for my Easter stamps, which I apparently have none of! Strange... So, I made do with what I have!
This is my dog, Mac-adoodle, pulling a train of Easter eggs for my girls! LOL! That's what I told them anyway! Have I showed you all Mac-adoodle? No? OK, I guess you will force me to post cute silly nonsense pictures of him at the bottom of this post then! ;-) When did I become that girl?? LOL!

Anyhow, I used three non Easter sets for this card: Playful Pieces (Hostess level 3) created the background for the eggs. Something o Celebrate (also Hostess) is the sentiment. Friends Fur-ever is the sweet puppy and train cars.
Ink and Paper: Melon Mambo, Lovely Lilac, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Old Olive

Other: Daffodil Delight Pom Pom Trim, Scallop Trim Punch, Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Pearls, Rich Razzleberry Taffeta Ribbon

So, get in the Easter mood and show us what our inspiration pictures inspires you to do!

My inspiration- the ever naughty but so super sweet and wonderful Mac (adoodle)!!

Ha! So you see why I had to have this stamp set as soon as I saw it?? Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous Thursday!

CCMC146- Summer Time!

I love summer. A lot!! That's why I get super excited to see the new summer sets in the Summer Mini. I received my pre-order (a benefit of being a demo- woot!) last week and this was the first set I inked up. The colors this week at Create With Connie and Mary really lend themselves to a summer set. I love primary colors!
I ran the Marina Mist through the crimper and then brushed on some Platinum Shimmer Paint.
I pulled apart my Peach Parfait ribbon to create the fibers. Love this technique! It's created so much more variety to my ribbon collection!

I used Crumb Cake and my Color Spritzer Tool, a Stampin' Sponge and the bubble stamp to create a sandy look.

So, what do you see happening with this weeks colors? Get to work and come back to CCMC and show us what you got! You could win some BLOG CANDY!!!

Stamps: Summer Splash

Ink and Paper: Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red

Other: Crimper, Color Spritzer, Platinum Shimmer Paint, Stampin' Sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Peach Parfait Ribbon
