Hello everyone! Welcome to a VERY SPECIAL round of the Artisan Wednesday Wow Hop! Why is it so special you ask??? Well, because we are all giving away the products featured in our projects this week! Actually, Stampin' Up is giving them to you, brand spankin' new!! So, make sure you go all the way through the hop and enter the Rafflecopter on EVERY blog! You have lots of chances to win!
So my products I was assigned were Life in the Forest and Watercolor Paper. I found that this stamp set lent itself perfectly to a masculine project. I chose some masculine colors and got to work.
I wanted the fox to be the star of my project. I wanted him to pop out from a sea of other foxes and then use the sentiment "You're One in a Million." I actually combined words from two different stamps to make that saying. (You're is from Oh Hello and the one in a million is from the set One in a Million. I used my Stampin' Write markers to color just the parts I wanted and stamped them on top of each other.)
You can see behind my little star there are lots of foxes stamped in the background. I separated them by a piece of White Vellum. I used the Scallop Border Punch and Fringe Scissors to create the grass. My fox was colored in with a Blender Pen and Cajun Craze Ink.
I created the tents using the Perfect Pennants Die. (Its on the Retired List!!) I do plan on doing a tutorial soon, so stay tuned! They are pretty easy, in my opinion.
This tent is Night of Navy Cardstock and the Hardwood stamp in Whisper White Craft Ink The DSP is from the Regals DSP stack. I created pennants using the Perfect Pennants Framelits. I colored these cute critters in with my blender pen and Baked Brown Sugar, Smokey Slate and Basic Grey.
This tent is Gumball Green Cardstock and Ink. Whaa! I LOVE Gumball Green and will miss it greatly when it retires next month!! For these pennants, I stamped the tree on DSP (I was out of Gumball, so I used Garden Green) and then cut them out and adhered them to Whisper White. I colored the critters with the same colors as above. And don't you just love Linen Twine!! It's so perfect for these campy pennants!
My last tent is Cajun Craze ink and paper. This pennant was tied with Summer Starfruit Striped Ribbon. I cut it into this strips to make it small enough.
I wanted to fill them with Millionaires, but couldn't find them. Wouldn't trail mix be cute too?? I think these would also make a fabulous party favor!
So, there you have Life in the Forest. I hope you love it as much as I do! And, you NEED it! This is a set that is so versatile and would be adorable on a scrapbook page.
