PPA Challenge #23

This week's challenge at Paper Pal Arts is "Anything But A Card." I've been wanting to make a Password Notebook for work for a long time, so thats what I did! (I have to remember multiple passwords for multiple things on my computer at work!)

My very favorite color from Stampin Up is Melon Mambo. I am realizing everytime I have to make a non holiday project, this is the color I go for. I love it. And Chocolate Chip is my second favorite. I paired these two with Kraft and Old Olice. The owl on the front is from a new set in the Occasions Mini out January 4th. (I can't remember the name... I'll be back to add it.) I also used Circle Circus on the back. The paper is Melon Mambo DSP as well as a small piece of CC DSP. I didn't take pictures of it, but inside is some leftover DSP holiday paper in Old Olive.
If your interested in any of these products, you can order them 24/7 HERE.
My mom gave me a Bind It All for my birthday in September and this is the first time I am using it. Its going to take some practice I think, but overall, its a handy tool to have in my scrap room.

So glad its over...

I love Christmas. But I have never been so happy it was over! It was so stressful this year for some reason. But, we had a nice one and I thought while it was fresh in my mind I would quickly print out the pictures and scrap them. It's kind of nice doing pages with in a few days of the event. There is nothing I hate more than scrapping Christmas in June...

Hope you had a wonderful holiday! Happy New year!

I {Heart} Hearts Sneak Peak

I love Hearts! Look at these adorable hearts! These are from the new set called I {Heart} Hearts that will be available in Stampin Up's new Occasions Mini Catalog on January 4. Its great for Valentine's Day, but it will be great all year for cards and scrapbook pages about those you love. It is available in the traditional wood mount, but also in cling mount, which is what I have. Its a fun set to play with!

One thing to note on this card is the background. I used my Scor Pal to score it every 1/2 inch. It looks like Bead Board doesn't it. (It's a CASE, so I can't claim it!) I just love the way it looks!

PPA 21- Winter Wonderland

I made this card tonight for the Paper Pal Arts challenge; Winter Wonderland theme.

I used lots of embossing powder, I think its even in my hair! The base is Kraft CS stamped with the snowflake from Patterned Pines in Whisper White. I embossed it with Irridescent Ice. I embossed the Not Quite Navy cs with more Whisper White and Irredecent Ice ep. I used the Jolly wheel for the image. Next, I embossed a piece of Real Red cs with the texture wheel and the WW ink and white ep. I used the new bird punch from the upcomming Ocasions Mini Catalog (available Jany 4!!). Isn't he cute? I used a little Dazzling Diamonds and stamped the Peace on Earth from Four the Holidays. Whew! Thats lots of steps for one card. But it was fun!

And this one is well, done. COuldnt get the pictures right, but I loved them so wanted to scrap them...

Secret Santa #2

I've been saving these extra big family size green bean cans for a while. (We like green beans! LOL!) I saw the tutorial on Splitcoast this week and decided to put one to good use for my Secret Santa. It will hold cookies!

Secret Santa...

I signed up for Secret Santa at school just so I would have a reason to make some of the cute stuff I have been seeing on line. I got lucky and got assigned someone I really like, so that makes it even more fun!
I used the Big Shot Top Note die to make the lid to this little box. I am going to fill it with some kind of yummy goodness...

My SS loves pink, so I decided to go with no traditional colors... Hope she likes it!

PPA 20 and a Sneak Peek!

This week's challenge at Paper Pal Arts is a color challenge!
I used one of my brand new stamp sets from the upcomming Stampin' Up Spring mini catalog to be released Janyary4. Its called Love Bandit! Isn't he cute!

I used Crushed Cury ink with my texture wheel on the card stock. I used dimensonals to give it some depth.

December Hostess Club

Its Hostess Club time again! I had a hard time deciding on the projects because with Christmas, they possibilities are endless!

The first project is the 2-5-7-10 box from Splitcoaststampers. Its super easy and super cute! We also are making a punch art Santa and embossing!

I found these cute koozies at Ms. A little ribbon and a tag and they make the perfect Secret Santa gift (with a cold Diet Coke, of course!)

And lastly, another gift card. I give alot of gift cards, so I figure you can never have enough. This one uses Kraft paper, Soft Suede ink and a white pen. I think the combo is adorable with the red ribbon! This idea was adapted from a GC holder at Chic n' Scratch.

Thanks for stopping by! Be back in a couple of days. I feel the need so SCRAP!

PPA Challenge #17

This week's challenge at Paper Pal Arts is a sketch challenge. I was shocked when I saw it because it reminds me of a couple of cards I made a couple of weeks ago! LOL! And I loved them so I was excited to make another one!

I'm sick of Christmas already, so I decided to go with Valentine's Day. The hearts are from Loads of Love(110522) (which incidently was my very first SU stamp set ever!) and the sentiment is from teeny Tiny Wishes (115370). I just love the hearts in the middle. They are from the three heart punch called Heart to Heart (113694.) And the ribbon...of the ribbon.. I'm in love with this fat ribbon. I can't seem to use anything else! Its called Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in basic black (115615.)

If your interested in any of the supplies I used, you can order them from my Stampin' Up sight.
And just for kicks, here are the other cards I made that could have been made from this sketch! Too funny!

A few things...

I haven't posted in a while! Yikes! I've been busy prepping for several workshops and hid a bit of scrappers block. Everything I've made, I didnt like! But, I think I'm back now...

All of these were lifted from various places...

Sweet Treat Cups, Voila and Cold and Cuddly Stamp set.

This is straight from Chic N' Scratch. Love her blog! I just orderd a sizzlet to make one like this but with a cute reindeer. This will be one of my Hostess Club projects this month.

This is one I came up on the fly.. I was in Michaels and found these koozies in their dollar spot. We do a "Secret Santa" at school and I thought this would be a great little gift (with a cold soda inside!) Also a Hostess Club Project.

This is from Chic' n Scratch as well. Its a gift card holder. I just ordered a roller to use rather than the star stamp. Hostess Club maybe....

I'll be gone for a to Memphis for Thanksgiving! Have a great one!

PPA Challenge #15

The challenge this week at Paper Pal Arts is a color chalenge.

I was a little nervous with the grey... but I gave it a try and threw in some black and love the final product! I got the border layer idea from Tracy at U Stamp With Dawn this week.

And speaking of Paper Pal Arts... Can I toot my horn for a second! I WON A PRIZE!!!!! LOL! Thank you so much to the ladies over at PPA for this amazing prize full of pink goodies. So, thanks again PPA!!!

An ornament is only an ornament unless it is a...

We do this lesson in Kindergarten all the time! Turning a shape into something completly different! I love it! So, I took the challenge of turning an ornament shape into other things. I want my stampers to feel like when they buy the ornament punch, they won't discard it come January. I wanted to get the most for my money! I know everybody feels the same these days! So, I cased some cards off the internet and came up with a few things myslf. Besides it's obvious use, here are a few other ideas!

A Bra!!

Two fish (they need some heart bubbles and fins!)

A pumpkin...

So cute, huh? Now if you feel the need to buy this versitile punch, click here. My favorite is the bra...just think of the posibilities!! Please share ideas you may have!! I want to collect as many as I can!
I'll be back later today to post details on my upcoming Stamp Camp! Oh, and can I ust say that I am bloggin with a sleeping baby in my lap and dinner on the stove! Yes I am queen of multi tasking!!!
