Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #74 and Curtain Call Color Challenge #35

These have become my favorite challenges of the week and they both happen to come out on Sunday. I combined them this week with a new Level 2 Hostess Set to make a fun little card.

Stamps: Longfellows, Smarty Pants
Paper and ink: Birds of a Feather DSP, Island Oasis DSP, Camo Coral, Temting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Green Galore, Garden Green
Other: Scallop Border Punch, Old Olive Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Chocolate, Eggplant and Pumpkin!

This color combo is making me hungry! What a fun combo to play with from Inkspiration this week. And I was really drawn in by this sketch from Card Patterns. Very different than anything I have done lately!

I used 3 stamp sets here: Artistic Etchings (Our July 1), Favorite Thoughts (Summer Mini,) and Circle Circus (Main Catty). Colors used are Chocolate Chip, Elegant Egplant and Pumpkin Pie. I used my Big Shot and Nestabilities to make the circle and scallop and a few random bling bling for the corners.

Father's Day... a little late!

This card was created as a Father's Day Card, but could easily be a Birthday card. I based my card on two challenges, Stampin Celebration #7 and the OCC sketch #20.

I love this Motorcycle stamp. It goes well with the Travel DSP and the Cog punch. All of these are available in the Summer Mini Catalog. I also used the Log Cabin Smooch Spritz to make it look kind of oil splattered. My colors are Pumpkin Pie, Dusty Durango, Night of Navy, and Whispler White. The metal sheeting was embossed using my Big Shot and the fun texture plates.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Greenhouse Gala- I'm in love!

I am in LOVE with this new Design Studio Paper! It will be available on July 1 in the new Stampin Up Catalog. Its so bold and beautiful! And, it wen't perfectly with the challenge at Stamp Away With Me. I also used this fun sketch from Inkspiration.

Stamps: Eastern Blooms
Ink and Paper: Greenhouse DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzaz, Baja Breeze
Other: Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon, twine, Itty Bitty Flower Punch, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Bronze Brads, Pop Dots

Black and White...with a splash!

I used this great sketch from Clean and Simple to create this fun card.
I adore this paper! Its from the same set I used here. I can tell I am going to through a ton of this stuff!
Stamps: Artistic Etchings,
Ink and Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo\
Other: Large Scallop Punch, 1 3/4" circle punch, Modern Label Punch, Black Satin Ribbon, Circle Brad, crimper

SU has a new large scallop punch coming out on July 1. Its almost 3". I love it! I punched 3 scallops out and then ran them through the crimper several times in different directions. Then, I crumbled them. I am trying to get the paper to soften up so that I can then pull the layers apart. It makes for a nice textured and thick flower like background for the circle stamp.

Pedaling Past...

I love this set. I think it's great for vintage cards. I will miss it when it retires at the end of the summer. I combined this cool sketch from Card Patterns and the always beautiful colors from Color Q for this card.

In the new Stampin Up catalog that comes out on July 1, you will see a new line of lace. I love lace and have been wanting to use my stash, but I try to stick to SU only on my cards. But, I cheated this time and am pretending its the upcomming SU' lace!!
Check out that paper! Gorgeous! Its from a new line of DSP called Grenhouse. Isnt it beautiful?
