Fine Feathers (HSS176)

Happy New Years Eve! Today I am late with my HSS post. I know, I've been LATE a lot lately. I have been burning the midnight oil trying to get my Valentine Project Planner ready for tonight's release!! I SHOULD have it done by the time I post my Artisan post tonight! Yay!!

But, this morning, It's time for another Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge.
Look how beautiful this picture is!

I have been on a feather kick lately and can't stop cutting these MDS Feather Woodcuts with my Cameo. They're definitely my favorite thing to cut right now!

The stamp is from Sassy Salutations and the feather stamps are from Fine Feather. There is a very light Pink Pirouette stamped feather on the left side... it's kind of washed out in the photo.

Make sure you check out the other ladies at HSS. They're stuff is amazing today!!

Here's a little sneak peek for ya.. I've had several requests for a tutorial on the mini candy dispenser I did years ago now that the template is unavailable. So, you ask and I provide!! I LOVE these! And they are really pretty simple to make! Stay tuned!!!

Order by January 10!

Artisan Wednesday Wow- Christmas Scrapbooking

Welcome to the Wednesday Wow Artisan Blog Hop!
Merry Christmas!! I hope you are enjoying family, food, relaxation and a few new goodies for your craft room! ;-)

Today, I am showing you a Christmas Scrapbook page! I love to sit down in the next few days a knock out all of this years Christmas pages. I can NOT stand to scrap Christmas any other time of the year, so if I get it done while the tree is still up, it doesn't feel so "out of context!"

For this page, I used the Stamp a Tag kit across the top of my page. I went to town using all my Christmas (Holiday Catalog) goodies trying to make each one a little different.

I LOVE that little fox!! And a regular old sponge dauber makes great circles!

And, the title was created using MDS and my Cameo. I am now fully addicted to this and am unable to create with out it!! This title comes from... EEK! I'm sorry, I can't remember. I'll update tomorrow!

Ok, so your on to my lovely friend Jane Lee. Make sure to leave her some love on her blog and then check out all the other amazing ladies as well! Hope you have a GREAT Wednesday!

TGIF! And it's Christmas Break for me!! Whoo hoo!
I said I was done with Christmas Cards, but I forgot to show you this one...
I used the Punch Board to create the tab. The middle piece is Vellum embossed and inked with Real Red.
Fun technique!
Stamps are Simply Stars and Greetings of the Season
I used this sketch from Cardabilities. It's expired now, but I still wanted to mention it.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope your able to relax these last days before Christmas!!

Christmas Gift Tags

When you have three kids, you have LOTS of people to give to at Christmas. I want those who help me and my kids on a daily basis to know how much we appreciate them. I like to give out little bags of our favorite Crack Corn (see recipe below) to all our teachers at school. This year, I'm giving out 31 bags! Wow!!

There's just no way I can make that many cards or gifts, so I settled for some cute gift tags. I can handle making 31 (+about 10 more fur hubby's work) of these!

This Joyful Tidings stamp from Christmas Messages is turning into my favorite sentiment this year. I love the way it looks embossed as well! the gingerbread man come from Sweet Christmas Digital Download. I cut them out with mu Cameo. I used the little Christmas tree punch and the smallest heart Frametlit.

I just love these! The chalkboard trend is still hot in my craft room! ;-)

I hope you're getting all your Christmas Crafting done! It's almost here!!
Have a great Thursday!

Microwave Caramel Corn (Crack Corn)
½ C. butter
1 C. brown sugar
¼ C. dark Karo syrup
Dash of salt
Microwave on high 4 mn. in a glass bowl. Stir after 2 mn.

Then add:
½ t. baking soda
1/8 t. vanilla
Stir until fluffy. Pour this over the puffed popcorn (I use one full bag of the popcorn) that is in a large Tupperware bowl (or one that is ok to go back into the microwave.) Stir this up, then microwave for 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.

Spread this out on wax paper to let it cool.
Melt 3-4 squares of White Almond bark and drizzle over the popcorn.

The puffcorn I buy is the same thing as "Pirate's Booty" that I see everywhere, but this is much cheaper! I get it at HEB, Target and almost every gas station around here sells it! It's always $2 a bag!
The puffcorn looks like this:
