The winner of the Life in the Forest and Watercolor paper is Charlene H.

Thank you everyone for playing! Make sure you click the button at the bottom ro hop to the next Artisan. You could be the winner there!

As promised, I typed up the tutorial for the tents in last week's post.
You can find a printable version HERE or scroll down for all the details!

1. Use two 4” X 5” piece of cardstock to cut two of the largest triangles from the Perfect Pennant Bigz Die. Cut two piece of DSP the same way. Using Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, adhere the DSP to the back of the cardstock triangles. Stamp the front with the Hardwood stamp in the same color ink.

2. Mark a 2” line in the middle of one of the triangles. Use the Stampin’ Trimmer to cut the line. Fold over one or both of the flaps and adhere with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

3. Cut a piece of  4 ¾”X 9 ½” cardstock. Score at 4 ¾” on the long side and ½” from each outside edge on the short side.  Trim as shown below.  Stamp both sides with the Hardwood stamp in the same color ink.

4. Place Sticky Strip on the four flaps of the large piece of cardstock. Starting with one side, align the edge of the flap to the edge of the front triangle. Repeat with the back triangle.

 5. Cut a 4 ½” X 4 ¾” piece of cardstock. Score at ½” on all four sides. Cut out the small squares in each corner and trim all the corners as shown below. Add Sticky Strip on all four sides. Start with one of the sides, and line up the flap inside the tent. Do the opposite side. Once these are in place, slide in the back and lastly, slide in the front panel.

6. Part of the front panel shows through the front side of the tent. Snip it with your scissors and fold it over and adhere to the bottom of the tent.

 7. Now, you are ready to decorate! Use the smallest Banner Framelit to cut banners.  You can do DSP or stamped images. Attach each to the top of the tent.  Repeat for the opposite side. Add a small twine or ribbon bow to each end of the banners. And that’s it!  I hope you find lots of fun ways to make these throughout the summer.

Now, hop over to Jane and the other Artisans to see if you won there! All 10 of us have different giveaways!

Simply Stars

Oh. My. Goodness.
Last night's Catalog Premier was Ah-mazing!!
I can not tell you how much fun it was!!
And, I don't think I mentioned it here, I was asked to be the Premier helper at the San Antonio event. So, I got to arrive early and help check people in. That was fun too! The best part?? I got all the leftover prize patrol stamp sets and ink AND left over catalogs!!!! What, what!!!! Yes, I was dying!!!!

I spent an hour after I got home going over the catalog, but still need to spend some time loving on it before I feel like I've really seen it all. If you want me to reserve a copy for you next month, email me and let me know!

Today's card feauturs the Simply Stars set that is retiring. i was very, very sad about this set. But, now that I've seen what kind of "star goodness" is in the new catalog, I'm quite alright letting it go! And, good news about the Hip Notes set- it's in the new catalog!! yay! I love this set. Especially the "Oh Snap" stamp! Anyhow, this card also features the Dictionary stamp (love) and the On Film Framelits (love, love.)

Ok, I think I am a little delirious this morning. So tired... Hope you have a wonderful day!

TGIF! Do NOT forget today is the last day for FREE shipping! I ordered  bunch of prints in MDS last night. Those are free shipping too!

So here is another fun stamp I used to practice with my new Blendabilities. They are Stampin' Up's new alchohol ink markers! I LOVE them!
Sadly, this stamp is on the Retirement List. It is from Backyard Basics (which has already sold out!!.) I love this little egg. but, I am sure SU will have something great to take it's place...
I also used the Dictionary Stamp on Watercolor Paper. I spritzed it with water to make it have that fuzzy look.

Life in the Forest- AWW and a HUGE Giveaway!

Hello everyone! Welcome to a VERY SPECIAL round of the Artisan Wednesday Wow Hop! Why is it so special you ask??? Well, because we are all giving away the products featured in our projects this week! Actually, Stampin' Up is giving them to you, brand spankin' new!! So, make sure you go all the way through the hop and enter the Rafflecopter on EVERY blog! You have lots of chances to win!

So my products I was assigned were Life in the Forest and Watercolor Paper.  I found that this stamp set lent itself perfectly to a masculine project. I chose some masculine colors and got to work.

I wanted the fox to be the star of my project. I wanted him to pop out from a sea of other foxes and then use the sentiment "You're One in a Million." I actually combined words from two different stamps to make that saying. (You're is from Oh Hello and the one in a million is from the set One in a Million. I used my Stampin' Write markers to color just the parts I wanted and stamped them on top of each other.)
You can see behind my little star there are lots of foxes stamped in the background. I separated them by a piece of White Vellum. I used the Scallop Border Punch and Fringe Scissors to create the grass. My fox was colored in with a Blender Pen and Cajun Craze Ink.

I created the tents using the Perfect Pennants Die. (Its on the Retired List!!) I do plan on doing a tutorial soon, so stay tuned! They are pretty easy, in my opinion.

This tent is Night of Navy Cardstock and the Hardwood stamp in Whisper White Craft Ink The DSP is from the Regals DSP stack. I created pennants using the Perfect Pennants Framelits. I colored these cute critters in with my blender pen and Baked Brown Sugar, Smokey Slate and Basic Grey.

This tent is Gumball Green Cardstock and Ink. Whaa! I LOVE Gumball Green and will miss it greatly when it retires next month!! For these pennants, I stamped the tree on DSP (I was out of Gumball, so I used Garden Green) and then cut them out and adhered them to Whisper White. I colored the critters with the same colors as above. And don't you just love Linen Twine!! It's so perfect for these campy pennants!

My last tent is Cajun Craze ink and paper. This pennant was tied with Summer Starfruit Striped Ribbon. I cut it into this strips to make it small enough.

I wanted to fill them with Millionaires, but couldn't find them. Wouldn't trail mix be cute too?? I think these would also make a fabulous party favor!

So, there you have Life in the Forest. I hope you love it as much as I do! And, you NEED it! This is a set that is so versatile and would be adorable on a scrapbook page.
