Fancy Friday Blog Hop- Painted Autumn

Hello everyone and welcome to the October Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
Our theme this month is the beautiful Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. We could use the actual paper, the colors or even the watercolor look as inspiration. As you might have noticed over the last couple of months, I adore this paper! I have used it a bunch! So, I was excited to do one more thing to really showcase the paper itself with out a lot of distractions.

I saw these cute little succulents at my local grocery store and knew they needed to come home with me! I repotted them and decided to use them as a little gift for the girls' teachers.

I took the green pattern pieces and wrapped them around the pots like a cone. I cut off most of what was below the pot and then folded it under the pot.

I made some simple tags using Watercolor Paper, a wash of Daffodil Delight ink and the sentiment from Thankful Thoughts.

I also punched a couple of leaves from the left over DSP using the Leaf Punch. It's under the Gold Binder Clip.

And that's it! Nothing fancy, but with paper this beautiful, you really don't need anything fancy. The paper does all the work!
The girls were excited to take these to school this week! We love spoiling their teachers!

Alright, it's time to hop along to the other designers. Up next is the very talented Marissa Gunn! Thanks for hopping!

Join me for Facebook Friday!
I'm making THREE projects this week!

  1. Oh Erica, what a wonderful idea and a great teacher gift. Hugs!

  2. Simple is perfection if you ask me!!! So nice for you to always get teacher gifts - but I think you remember all too clearly what its like!
