    Pretty Pumpkins- one more time!

Hi everybody! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a wonderful time in Waco visiting our oldest for Parent's Weekend. She's is having the time of her life at Baylor snd it's so good to see her so happy! She got to run the Baylor Line, a rite of passage for Freshman.

You can see her and her sweet roommate below in their bright green wigs!!

Today, I'm sharing one more Pretty Pumpkins projects with you. If you didn't see last week's Facebook Friday, make sure you hop back one post and check out the three projects there as well. Today's card is a repost of a car I did in the summer.

I just love how gorgeous these pumpkins look embossed on Basic Black Cardstock! You can't see it in the photo above, but scroll down a bit and you'll be able to see them in the second photo. The Cajun Craze pumpkin was also embossed with Clear Embossing Powder by inking the image first in Versa Mark and then ink directly again in Cajun Craze ink, then stamping it on Basic White Cardstock. I also used our beautiful new Adorning Designs Masks on the Crumb Cake label.
Now you can see the black pumpkins in the back ground! So pretty!

Remember, today is the last day to get your Facebook Friday orders in. If you want last week's three project make and takes for free, make sure you put in a $35 minimum order using Host CodNQDKE334 . You can order anything you want. You can shop here.

Pretty Pumpkins Sweet Treat Box Tutorial

Hey everybody! Welcome back! Today, I've got another great Pretty Pumpkins project for you. You know, I had planned on doing a class with this bundle. But, time kind of got away from me, and by the time I realized it, the class wouldn't get to your mailbox until Thanksgiving and I know were already on to Christmas by then. So, we'll just celebrate it all week here on my blog!

Today's project is a 3D! It's a simple box that holds a Pecan Spinwheel. I'd never seen these Little Debbie snacks before, but received one by accident in my grocery delivery! So, I figured the universe was telling me to use it! If you want to find them, check out the Little Debbie Snack Finder.

I decided to pull in the Misty Moonlight printed DSP from the Harvest Meadow DSP Pack. My mother always taught me that orange was on the opposite side of the color wheel from blue and they looked really good together! Well, maybe that was yellow, but orange is right next to yellow! Anyhow, I was using Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze to color my pumpkins so I knew it would look good on the color DSP! If you'd like to make one yourself, check out the video below.

    Measurements:
    5 1/2" X 6 1/2" Soft Suede Cardstock, score all four sides at 1 1/2"
    3 3/4" X 4 1/2" DSP, score at 1/2" on all four sides

You can find the full supply list at the bottom of this post.

This week's Facebook Friday will be tomorrow, Thursday at 2:00 pm CST. I'll be again featuring the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle. This week's Host Code NQDKE334 is in case you want to put in your order before tomorrow. All orders over $35 will receive tomorrow's make and takes for free!

    Pretty Pumpkins and Grapevine Dies

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I am so happy to say I am feeling 100% today! Whew, what a yucky week I had last week. I am anxious to get back to work! Thank you for your patience and understanding last week when I had to postpone Facebook Friday.

This week's Facebook Friday will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm CST. I'll be featuring the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle. I LOVE pumpkins and Fall. So, I always gravitate to that section of the Holiday catalog. This year the pumpkin stamp set is really interesting. The dies are unique on their own even if you don't use them with the stamp set! I can't wait to show you all the things I've come up with. I think I've got five projects so far!

So, today, I want to show you a card I created. I realized the Grapevine Dies go really well with the pumpkins! They look like a pumpkin vine! So, I pulled them out and cut them out in both Kraft and Mossy Meadow cardtosck. I stamped the pumpkins in several colors: Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papaya, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Old Olive. I again stamped it in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla. I cut all the colored pumpkins, stems and leaves out with Paper Snips. I then glued them to the Vanilla piece so that each pumpkin is a different color and the stems and leaves are the correct colors. I then cut the whole thing out with the matching die. Was it alot of work? Sure. Was it worth the effort? Absolutely! And you really could get three sets of pumpkins out of each color if you stamped it two more times on Vanilla.

I adhered the vine and pumpkins to a Very Vanilla Stitched Rectangle. Next, I used the Basic Pattern Masks and a Blending Brush to create a Soft Suede background on a Soft Suede card base. For the full details, make sure to check out the supply list below.

And, don't forget to set a reminder for Thursday at 2:00 pm CST! I hope you will join me for more Pretty Pumpkin projects over on Facebook!
